Our 12-week summer internship program is designed to provide qualified students with paid opportunities to apply their knowledge, passion, and drive to meaningful, engaging, and fulfilling work assignments in a collaborative environment.

About STRIVE
APTIM’s STRIVE Summer Internship Program, designed for undergraduate and graduate students across the US, runs annually from May to August. Each STRIVE intern is assigned to one of our strategic business units and paired with a supervisor for project guidance and mentorship. They gain real-world experience through goal setting, project work, evaluations, meetings, and presentations.
Led by the STRIVE Program Manager, STRIVE interns meet virtually each week to learn more about APTIM and develop professionally. In these sessions, interns discover APTIM’s diverse portfolio and gain insight into our projects, spanning infrastructure management, engineering, energy transition, remediation, sustainability, and more. In addition, our Biweekly Coffee Talks focus on peer engagement and interpersonal growth.
Interns are encouraged to support one another, communicate openly, show appreciation, and honor commitments—reinforcing the core values that define APTIM. The program highlights APTIM’s safety culture and collaborative spirit. The cohort finishes out their experience together at one of our office locations with our annual STRIVE Live celebration, complete with professional development sessions and a group presentation to our Executive Leadership Team.
The STRIVE Summer Internship Program was named with APTIM’s THRIVE Mentoring Program in mind, which also aims to promote professional and personal development through sustained relationships between mentors and mentees.
