Entergy Solutions Louisiana Offers Incentives for New Construction Projects to Commercial and Industrial Customers

The Entergy Louisiana Entergy Solutions Program has been strengthening the resiliency of Louisiana businesses through its New Construction pilot program. The Entergy Solutions New Construction pilot offering provides incentives for qualifying projects to adopt and implement energy efficient design and construction.

The pilot was launched in early 2021 targeting Entergy Louisiana customers affected by Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020. It includes prescriptive incentives for energy efficient equipment such as LED lighting, high efficiency HVAC, ENERGY STAR commercial kitchen equipment and low flow water fixtures.

Following the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Ida in Louisiana last year, the Entergy Solutions program expanded the pilot to assist more customers. In 2021, the pilot paid more than $70,000 worth of incentives, saving more than 600,000 kWh annually for participating commercial and industrial customers.

Pilot program participants have included three Dollar General locations, which, in total, have saved 200,000 kWh annually and received nearly $16,000 in incentives.

As Entergy Louisiana customers recover from multiple severe hurricanes, the Entergy Solutions New Construction pilot offering can help provide the funding needed to build back better. Customers can rebuild with more energy efficient equipment for decreased energy use and long-term financial savings.
