Public Works and Logistics Support for Fort Moore
Contract Scope
APTIM has been providing Base Operations Services (BOS) services at Fort Moore; a 3,000-building, 182,089-acre facility with a population approximately 29,000 Soldiers, and supports 107,000+ family members, civilian employees, retirees, and houses 20 military units, for 20+ years as Prime and Subcontractor. We perform vertical facility maintenance on 3,000 buildings and structures including 156 barracks supporting 19,000 enlisted and 108 bachelor officer quarters, offices, storage facilities, recreation areas, training facilities, loading docks, roads, landing zones, and airfield facilities. APTIM’s team also cares for 11,360 plots/grave sites at the 100-year-old Army cemetery. We also manage computer documentation of persons interred and supports grieving families and burials of ~150 annually.
As a result of these efforts, the Fort Moore cemetery was rated as Best-in-Army.
APTIM employees also operate the Troop Self Help. The Troop Self Help Program provides the Fort Moore military and civilian directorates with the training, tools, and supplies needed to maintain, repair and preform minor self-help projects in their unit areas. Employees train users of the program in the basic skills required to utilize the materials and tools available through the program.
APTIM also supports Camp Frank D. Merrill located in Dahlonega, Georgia that houses the 5th Ranger Training Battalion. The APTIM team supports with general maintenance of the barracks, and facilities including the water treatment plant and wastewater treatment facility along with maintaining the roads in the portion of the Appalachian Mountains that are used by the units as a training area.
