A Message from APTIM in Response to COVID-19

Over the past few months we have witnessed the global spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. COVID-19 has significantly impacted businesses internationally, and we are feeling these impacts in the United States, Canada, Peru, Guam, Japan, and everywhere APTIM does business. We recognize our most important assets are our employees, and that the spread of the virus has the potential to significantly impact everyone in our organization. We want to update you on our response and approach to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We formed an internal management team from all parts of our business to actively monitor the spread of the virus and recommend precautionary actions. We implemented an internal web page for all our employees to readily locate APTIM recommended actions, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) resources, and submit questions they may have. We answer our employees’ questions on this site daily. Our goal was to create one source of truth for our entire organization to help manage the barrage of information that is available.

As much as possible, we are recommending our employees work from home if their job function allows it. Our information technology (IT) team swiftly implemented the appropriate software for these individuals to work efficiently while being away from their normal workplace. For our staff working on essential project sites, we have implemented precautionary measures and recommendations to keep them and our job-sites safe while continuing to deliver the extraordinary service our clients depend on us for.

We have and will continue to follow the recommendations of our national, state, and local governments as the situation evolves to keep our employees safe and keep essential business operations moving forward.
